No Brain

"No Brain" is a visceral reflection on how society assigns value—and how easily that value is revoked. Constructed from discarded plastic bags using techniques traditionally associated with care and domestic labor, the piece departs from the structured, bifurcated brain form of earlier works. Instead, it presents an absence: suggesting what is deemed “less than,” “not enough,” or “unworthy.”

This work confronts the dehumanizing narratives used to justify the discarding of people—those deemed different or inconvenient. By rendering this judgment in plastic waste, "No Brain" draws a direct line between the materials we throw away and the individuals our systems fail or ignore.
