Ripples, featured on The Builders magazine cover

Commissioned by Compass Health Network, "Ripples" explores the subtle, expansive calm that can follow transformation. Where earlier works dwell in fragmentation, overwhelm, or rejection, this piece rests in what comes after: a softened settling, a widening stillness. Constructed from discarded plastic bags, the same material used to express mental noise and emotional tension in other works, Ripples stretches outward in gentle, concentric forms—an echo of something once chaotic, now quieted.

The repetition of stitch and curve evokes the aftermath of impact, not as destruction but as a diffusion of energy—transmuted rather than erased. The plastic is still here, unchanged in substance, but its shape and presence have shifted. Through handcraft and care, waste becomes something meditative. What was once overwhelming is now expansive.
